Dr. Vincent DeGuire

Vincent De Guire is a clinical biochemist at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital within the Optilab Montréal-CHUM laboratory network (Santé Québec), a Clinical Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at the University of Montreal, and a research associate at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Research Center. He holds a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Montreal with postdoctoral training in clinical biochemistry, and is a co-founder and CEO of LabMed Alliance Inc., which advises healthcare institutions and diagnostic manufacturers on EQA, LIS implementation, regulatory strategy, and data-driven diagnostics.

His work focuses on laboratory quality indicators, laboratory errors and patient safety, and the translation of diagnostic innovation from research into clinical and commercial practice. He chairs the IFCC Working Group on Laboratory Errors and Patient Safety (WG-LEPS), presides over the Canadian Quality Indicators (KPI) Comparison Program of the SQBC, and serves on the editorial boards of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine and Critical Reviews in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. He lectures internationally on these topics.

As a serial entrepreneur in diagnostics, he co-founded Nanogenecs and Anasens — a University of Montreal start-up developing a portable device for drug detection, therapeutic drug monitoring, and chronic disease management. He leads LMA's North-American business development and strategic partnerships.

Vincent lives in Montral, Canada with his wife and two children.
